[Conclusions]
Literature published by Oct. 31, 2004 concerning epidemiology of endocrine disruptors and prostatic cancer was surveyed. The results of the two cohort studies on atrazine did not agree and thus did not permit conclusion on the relevance. Epidemiologic studies on endocrine disruptors in relation to prostatic cancer are few, and do not permit evaluation of causality at present. Substances other than organochlorine compounds have not been studied in this context. No Japanese subject has been studied. Experimental designs with high reliability are needed for future studies on this problem.
