RESEARCH

Section1

In the Section 1, we are conducting toxicity evaluation and toxicity mechanism research of chemical substances such as food additives, food flavors and unintentionally produced food contaminants. We are also constructing a comprehensive study method that enables simultaneous evaluation of multiple endpoints that contribute to 3Rs, and further studying toxicologic pathology using mass spectrometry imaging.

Section2

In the Section 2, we are working on the development of novel short-term methods to evaluate the carcinogenicity of various chemical substances. In addition, we are conducting the mechanism analysis and biomarker search with histopathological and molecular biological methods for organ-specific toxicity and carcinogenicity such as renal and thyroid dysfunction.

Section3

In the Section 3, we are investigating the difference of toxicity and its mechanism of new materials, such as nanosilver based on differences in the size and shape of the test substance, as well as histopathological analysis of immunotoxicity. We are also working on research on various toxicity detection methods using pathological specimens and the roles of DNA damage repair factors.
