We are engaged in research work related to international harmonization of specifications and standards for food additives.

Reserch work

1.Revision of the Japan's specifications and standards for food additives
- For food additives that are widespread in Japan but not approved for use in other countries, we provide necessary technical support for ingredient specifications and safety tests required for approval in the other country.

2.Collection and analysis of information on international standards for food additives at Codex Alimentarius Commission

3.Research on international harmonization of specifications and standards including general tests for food additives

4.Provision of chemical data and expertise to the government for the revision of Japan’s Specifications and Standards for Food Additives
