As of 31th, January, 2013, norovirus GII/4 2012 variant strains similar to the Australian strain (Sydney/NSW0514/2012/AU(JX459908)) have been detected in 33 prefectures in Japan. The variant was first detected in January, 2012 in Hokkaido and Osaka. |
