DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMISTORY

In order to ensure the quality and safety of indoor air, cosmetics and quasi drugs, tap water and water supply, and household products, the division is engaged in the determination of the chemical substances present in indoor air and the sources of their contamination, research on standards and the development of analytical methods for ingredients or impurities in cosmetics and quasi drugs, the establishment of test methods for the chemical substances in tap water derived from raw water and water supply equipment, research on the chemical substances that are produced during water treatment process, and research on exposure assessment for the standardization of the harmful substances contained in household products. The division also investigates the health damage due to household products and cosmetics, and water pollution.
