DIVISION OF MOLECULAR TARGET AND GENE THERAPY PRODUCTS

Recent progress in life sciences, especially rapid advances in genome research, regenerative medicine and biotechnology, provide new approaches to innovative therapeutics such as cellular and gene therapy products, and gene diagnostics. In the division, we are engaged in the studies on the evaluation of the quality, safety and efficacy of cellular and gene therapy products, and diagnostic drugs. Biochemical and molecular biological studies related with those fields are also conducted at the division.

Microarray and real-time PCR etc. are used for assessment of quality and safety of cellular and gene therapy products.
