最近、乳児用粉乳中の Enterobacter sakazakii に関する関心が高まっていることから、NZFSA が両親および保育者（caregivers）にアドバイスと情報を提供するため短いfactsheet を作成した。

Enterobacter sakazakii とは何か?
E sakazakii は環境中から検出される細菌で、通常疾病に関連することはないが、稀に新生児室にいる未熟児、または免疫不全児において、時には致死的な疾病を起こす。またこの細菌は乳児用調整粉乳を含む食品を汚染しうる。殺菌で粉乳中の細菌数を減らすことはできるが、この粉乳を滅菌状態にすることはできない。この細菌は購入時すでに粉乳中に存在するかもしれないし、お湯で溶かすときに混入するかもしれない。安全な溶解方法と調整後のミルクの保管によって発病のリスクを下げることができる。

E sakazakii は赤ちゃんに対してリスクとなるか?
E sakazakii は調整粉乳を使用している健康で、月満ちて生まれた赤ちゃんでは病気を起こしていないが、すべての乳児用食品は注意して、取り扱うべきである。NZFSA が作成した調整粉乳の取扱に関する指示は次のアドレスから入手可能である。
